Walked into a Goodwill in Dayton with $5 and walked out with a lamp and a new budget rule
I stopped at the Goodwill on Wilmington Pike in Dayton last Saturday just to kill time, and I noticed a handwritten sign by the register saying all lamps were $3 that day. I had exactly $5 cash on me, so I grabbed a solid brass lamp, and it got me thinking about how setting a hard cash limit changes what I even look at. Does anyone else here use a strict cash-in-pocket rule for thrift runs, or do you just set a budget and hope you stick to it?
