That 'lifetime supply' of razor blades I bought on sale was a dud

About 2 years ago I saw this deal for 300 razor blade refills at a discount store for $40. I figured I was set for life since I usually spend like $20 a month on them. First pack worked fine but by the third pack they were rusting after one shave. Turns out they were old stock and the coating was all worn off. Anyone else get burned by a bulk buy that seemed too good to be true?

Did you check the production date on the packaging before you bought them? That's usually the first thing I look for with stuff like that. I had a similar thing happen with a bulk pack of shaving cream once, it was all dried out and useless. Learned to always shake the box and see if the blades feel loose or if the package looks faded or dusty. Sucks you got stuck with 300 rusty blades, that's a lot of wasted money.
