Hit my first $10k emergency fund last month and it felt strange
After three years of cutting back on takeout and driving my old Honda into the ground, I finally crossed the $10,000 mark in my emergency fund. I was aiming for $5k originally but kept pushing because I read somewhere that six months of expenses is safer. The odd part is I don't feel rich or anything, just less worried about losing my job at the warehouse. Has anyone else hit a savings goal that felt smaller than you expected once you got there?
