Hit my $10,000 emergency fund number a decade late and it still felt huge

After 11 years of scraping together $25 here and $50 there whenever I could, I finally crossed that $10,000 mark last Tuesday and realized I'd been chasing the same goal my dad gave up on back in 2009, so has anyone else hit a number way later than planned and found it meant more that way?

Honestly that goal was ancient, ten grand barely covers a used car now.
