Rant: I spent 4 trips hauling a checked bag to save $30 on carry on fees and it backfired
A guy at a hostel in Austin watched me pay $60 to check a bag both ways and asked why I wasn't just using a free personal item. Now I can't decide if packing light is genius or if I'm just gonna end up buying socks at every stop, where do you all land on this?
