I was dead wrong about those flight error fare sites

Thought they were all scams until I snagged a round trip to Dublin for $180 last month, taxes included. Anybody else have a surprise win with a janky-looking deal site?

It is funny how life's biggest surprises come from the things we least expect (like that old gas station with the best tacos).

I read somewhere that those error fares usually only last a few hours before the airlines fix the price, so you really gotta jump on it fast. I tried one of those sketchy sites last year for a flight to Tokyo and got it for like $250, which felt insane until the airline cancelled it two days later. Still got a full refund, but man it was a rollercoaster of emotions. It seems like half the battle is just getting lucky with timing and hoping the system doesn't catch the mistake before you book. Makes me wonder how many people actually get to keep those cheap tickets versus just getting refunded.
