The day I realized I was salting the pasta water wrong for 15 years

I always dumped salt in after the water started boiling, figured that was fine. Then my aunt from Cleveland watched me cook last Thanksgiving and said 'you're wasting it, put it in cold' and I just stood there. She showed me how the salt dissolves better and actually seasons the noodles from the inside, not just the surface. Been doing it that way for 3 months now, tastes way better for the same 50 cents of salt. Anyone else have a cooking habit that took a relative to point out?

Praise your aunt for being smarter than 15 years of your boiling habit, then ask if she can fix your life next.
