Realized I was wasting money on pre-cut veggies | Budget Friendly Meals

I mean, chopping them myself saves cash and I actually eat more salads now. Maybe it's just me but that little change helped my diet a lot.

Exactly, it's crazy how those little conveniences add up. Pre-cut stuff is such a trap, it looks easy but you're paying a ton for someone else to do a two-minute job. I switched over last year and my grocery bill actually went down. Makes you wonder what else we're overpaying for just because it's in a nice package, right? Feels better knowing exactly what you're eating too, no weird extra stuff to keep it fresh.

People get too worked up over small savings. Abby_martin28 makes a fair point about the cost, but my time has value too. It's just veggies, not a life changing money hack.

Yeah, my buddy had the same thing happen. He bought those pre-cut carrot sticks for his kids' lunches for months. One day he just tried chopping a whole bag himself while watching TV. Said it took maybe ten minutes and he got three times the amount for the same price. His kids started eating more of them too, maybe because they looked fresher. He felt kind of silly for not trying it sooner.
