The "$12 rotisserie chicken" thing kills me because people act like it's some kind of deal when it's really just paying for someone else to do the work. I grabbed a family pack of chicken leg quarters last week for like 89 cents a pound and got almost 6 pounds for under 6 bucks. Roasted them all on a sheet pan with some cheap veggies and that was lunches for me and my wife for four days. The rotisserie bird gives you maybe two meals and half of it is dry by day two anyway. Thighs and leg quarters hold up way better when you reheat them too, they don't turn into sawdust in the microwave. Once you start buying the cheaper cuts you never go back to those pre cooked ones.
