My instant pot pressure valve got stuck and I almost ruined dinner

Last Sunday I was making a big batch of black beans and rice and the steam valve just wouldn't seal right. I kept messing with it for 10 minutes before I realized there was a tiny piece of dried bean stuck in the rubber gasket. I cleaned it out with a toothpick and it worked fine, but the beans took an extra 45 minutes to cook. Has anyone else had random stuff get lodged in their pressure cooker valve?

Actually that rubber ring is the gasket, not the valve.
