Pro tip: always check the weather before you start a big brick order
Last Thursday in Springfield, I had a pallet of 500 bricks delivered for a patio job. The forecast said clear skies, so I signed off and got to work. By noon, the sky turned dark and a surprise downpour soaked everything. The bricks were already laid out and got completely waterlogged, adding a ton of extra weight and making the mortar a nightmare to work with. It set up way too fast and I had to redo a whole section the next day. Lost about 4 hours of labor, easy. You ever have a job go sideways because of a sudden storm? What's your backup plan when the weather turns on you?

Check the weather all you want, it's never a sure thing anyway. I've seen perfect forecasts turn into a mess right after delivery. Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and deal with the conditions you get.

Totally feel that about perfect forecasts turning into a mess. I planned a whole day around a clear sky once and it poured for hours out of nowhere. You can look at all the apps and radars you want but it just does its own thing. Makes you wonder why we even bother checking sometimes.
