Spent 2 hours trying to peel the label off a $9 hot sauce bottle without ripping it
I grabbed this mango habanero sauce at a farmers market in Portland mainly because the label was a tiny screen printed octopus holding a pepper, and I wanted to save it for my fridge door. Got home, tried to steam it off with a kettle, soaked it in warm water for 20 minutes, then went at it with a razor blade. It came off in 4 chunks and the octopus lost two tentacles in the process. Ended up gluing the pieces onto a card, which took another 30 minutes and looks like a ransom note now. The sauce was fine but honestly nothing special. Does anyone have a trick for getting labels off glass without wrecking the art, or should I just buy two bottles next time?
