PSA: The wax paper on my $6.99 wind-up robot was worth more than the robot
Found a tin wind-up robot at a flea market in Tulsa for $6.99 purely because the box had this amazing 1950s space art with a rocket and a tiny robot waving. Got it home, wound it up twice, and the gear stripped out in about 20 seconds. The robot is now a paperweight, but the box is on my shelf next to my actual good stuff. Has anyone else ended up with a broken toy and a display-worthy box, and what did you do with the toy part?
