Used to water my calathea on a Sunday schedule, now I check the soil with a chopstick first
Killed two calatheas in my Chicago apartment by watering every Sunday no matter what. My neighbor Dana told me to stick a wooden chopstick in the pot and only water if it comes out dry. Now I check every plant separately, and my orbifolia has pushed out four new leaves since March. The crispy edges finally stopped too. Does anyone else check each plant one by one, or do you still go by a set day?
