Just realized most people water their succulents wrong and it drives me nuts
I have killed exactly 14 succulents over the last 5 years because I kept giving them little sips every few days instead of letting the soil dry out completely. A guy at a nursery in Tucson told me to soak them once every 3 weeks and then forget they exist, and not one has died since. Has anyone else been overwatering theirs this whole time without knowing?
Soaking every 3 weeks works in Tucson because it's bone dry there, but if you live somewhere humid that schedule will rot them just as fast. The real trick is checking if the soil is dry all the way through, not following a set calendar.
