I finally figured out why my peace lily kept drooping every 3 weeks

Turns out I was watering it on a fixed schedule instead of checking the soil moisture. For 4 months I'd just dump water every Sunday and wonder why it looked sad by Wednesday. Finally stuck my finger in the dirt after a friend at the nursery told me to wait until the top inch was dry. Now it goes 10 days between waterings and actually perked up with new leaves. Has anyone else dealt with a plant that seemed fine but was secretly getting overwatered on a routine?

Same. Killed three succulents before I learned the finger test.
