Can we talk about how long it took me to figure out why my fern kept dying inside?
I spent six weeks changing water, light, and soil before realizing the problem was dry air from my furnace vent hitting it every 20 minutes, has anyone else dealt with a hidden airflow issue like that?

Yeah I actually just read something about this... apparently ferns are super sensitive to airflow because they're basically rainforest floor plants. They like still, humid air, not the dry blast from a vent. You can get a little humidity tray or move it to a bathroom with a window. I had a similar thing with a calathea, took me forever to find the draft from my window.

Humidity tray was a game changer for me, but I also moved my fern to a spot where it gets indirect light and no AC flow at all. Those crispy tips started greening back up after a few weeks. If the leaves are already browning, just snip them off at the base so the plant can focus on new growth.
