The moment my vacuum filter exploded mid-job in a client's living room
Was cleaning a house in Arlington last tuesday and my shop vac just let go with a cloud of fine dust everywhere. Turns out I hadn't emptied the filter in like 3 months, just kept thinking it was fine. Client walked in while I was still coughing and waving my arms around like an idiot. She just laughed and said 'happens to me too' which was nice but I still wanted to crawl under the couch. Anyone else ever had a tool totally betray you at the worst possible time?

Also, not to be that person, but dust from a full filter is more about the filter being clogged than not emptying it. The pressure builds up and then it just blows out the seams. Happened to me with a Rigid vac once and I had dust all over a finished basement floor. Took me forever to get it all up with a damp rag. Did you have to do a lot of cleanup after that?
