Showerthought: When a home inspector in Tulsa showed me his 2003 wallpaper blog, I couldn't decide if it was the worst or best find
Met a guy named Dale at a hardware store in Tulsa last month, and he pulled out his phone to show me a blog he's kept since 2003 that just catalogs wallpaper patterns from old motels. He said he drives to small towns within 200 miles and takes photos of lobby walls before they get redone. Half of me thinks this is the most boring site ever made, and the other half thinks it's the exact kind of weird specific thing worth saving before it's gone. Is a site like that a hidden gem or just 400 photos of ugly carpet and walls? Where do you all draw the line between dull and worth bookmarking?
