Hot take: a 1997 Geocities fansite for a grain elevator in Fargo taught me more about the web than any blog
I was killing time at the station between calls back in March and stumbled on this guy's site about a grain elevator in Fargo, complete with a hit counter and a page of scanned blueprints from 1962. The whole thing loaded in under a second because it was just plain HTML with zero ads, and I sat there reading every page like it was a novel. What's the most pointlessly specific site you've ever lost an hour to?
