Found a site that lists every type of brick ever made. It's exactly as exciting as it sounds.
I was trying to fix a crack in my 1950s walkway and needed to match the brick. Spent 3 hours on brick.com or whatever. Turns out there is a whole database just for brick colors and sizes. No photos, just text lists. It worked but I felt my soul leave my body reading through 47 different shades of red.

47 reds is wild but I actually read somewhere that there are over 50 different names for standard red brick shades just from the 1950s alone. I ended up matching my walkway by the specific molding texture and size since the color names like "colonial red" or "heritage red" all blurred together anyway. The site worked but I swear I had to cross-reference with a old brick sample from the hardware store just to be sure.

Did that site actually have the exact shade you needed or did you have to GUESS based on the names? Sounds like a real test of patience staring at a list of 47 reds.
