Changed my mind about audiobooks after a 3 hour drive debate
I used to think audiobooks were cheating, like you weren't really reading the book. Then my buddy Mike, who drives a semi for a living, pushed back hard during our trip to Nashville last month. He said he finishes 40 books a year just through his earbuds in the cab, and he remembers them better than I remember half the paperbacks I skim. We pulled over at a Love's and he played a chapter from a book I'd been meaning to read, and I caught details I'd normally zone out on. Now I'm wondering, do you folks count audiobooks as legitimate for your book club picks, or am I the last convert here?
