Why does nobody talk about torch tip size on thin plate
Old hand named Dale at the Local 146 hall watched me blow a hole through 1/4 inch plate and told me my tip was two sizes too big for the cut. Cut back from a 1 to a 0 tip and slowed my travel a touch, and the kerf cleaned up right away. Had no idea tip size mattered that much on thin stuff, always just grabbed what was in the box. Any of you got a size rule you stick to for plate under 3/8?
