Spent $120 on a deluxe edition of a game I barely play anymore
I bought the fancy Kickstarter version of "Scythe" back in 2017 with all the metal coins and realistic resources. Cost me about $120 total, and I thought it would be the centerpiece of my game nights. Turns out, the added bits don't make up for the fact that the game takes 3 hours and my group prefers shorter stuff like "Ticket to Ride." Has anyone else dumped money into a big box game that just collects dust on your shelf?

Bought the big box of "Concordia" with all the maps last year. Played one game. Then my group decided they'd rather do Codenames every time. $85 later it just sits there looking pretty.

Wait, didn't Scythe only cost about $60-$80 for the base game on Kickstarter? I thought the $120 price point was for the big box or a bundle with something else. But yeah, I totally feel you on the dust collector thing.
