Pro tip: I thought being a rules lawyer made me a better board game geek
Honestly, I used to argue every tiny rule in our group for like 2 hours, thinking it made me the smartest player. Then my buddy in Cincinnati just started packing up the game mid-argument and said 'we're here to have fun, not win a court case.' Ngl, that hit hard and I've chilled out a lot since. Anyone else have a moment that made them stop taking the rules so seriously?

Remember thinking I had to memorize every expansion rule to be a real fan. My friends started calling me the game's terms of service and it finally clicked. Now I just google the weird edge case and we keep playing.
