I finally stopped building my rulebook on the floor after a guy at my Tuesday game night called it out
So I run a weekly group in Sacramento and I always spread all the cards and tokens across the whole table before we start. A regular named Dev looks at me 3 weeks ago and says "you're setting up for a game you can't reach across," and honestly he was right. I was reaching over 4 player mats just to grab a token pile and knocking over meeples every single turn. I timed it and setup was eating 22 minutes of our 2 hour window because I kept having to fix the mess. Now I use a small folding side table for all the shared bits and keep just the player area on the main table. Our first game after the switch started 9 minutes faster and nobody knocked a single piece over all night. How do you all split up table space when you've got 5 or more players?
