Blew $40 on a dice tray with a built in tower and it's been sitting in my closet for 6 months

Saw a "deluxe" leather dice tray with a tower at my local shop in Boise for $40 and grabbed it because my group plays a lot of games with heavy dice rolling. Problem is the tower is too narrow and my d6s keep jamming halfway down, so someone has to poke them out with a pencil every few turns. The felt on the tray part is also too thin, so dice bounce out onto the floor constantly. Went back to my old $8 plastic tray from Target and nobody has complained once. Has anyone found a tower that actually handles standard dice without choking on them?
