My blog got 12 visitors last month and 9 of them were me

I started a blog about fixing old mechanical keyboards back in February. First month I got 4 views from random people and thought okay cool. Last month I checked analytics and saw 12 total visitors but 9 of those were me checking if the site worked. The other 3 were probably bots since they bounced in 2 seconds. Anybody else get hyped over a single real person commenting on like post 47?

12 visitors in a month is actually pretty good for a niche blog about mechanical keyboards. Most new blogs get zero traffic from real humans for months. The fact you got 4 real views in your first month means your SEO is working better than you think. Bots hitting your site means search engines are indexing your content which is exactly what you want. A single comment on post 47 means someone was reading through your archives and cared enough to type something out. That is way more valuable than a hundred drive-by visitors who never return.

Is it really that serious though? I mean yeah 4 random views is technically something but it could just be bots from search engines like you said. @blair_davis50 makes a good point about SEO but I've had my gaming chair blog for two years and half the time the "real visitors" from Google Analytics turn out to be crawlers or some weird spam. That comment on post 47 might be a bot too, I've seen those where they copy a generic praise line like "great read thanks." Unless they actually mentioned your Cherry MX switch tutorial or something specific, I wouldn't count it as a win yet.
