Found a blog that just posts photos of abandoned drive-in movie screens
It's called 'Screen Ghosts' and the guy has been driving around the Midwest for 8 years taking pictures. He doesn't even write much, just the location and year. People keep saying blogs need tons of words and SEO, but this one gets it right by just showing a cool, specific thing. I checked the stats once and he gets maybe 50 views a month, but the pictures are amazing. Has anyone else found a blog that's great because it does ONE simple thing really well?

My buddy's cousin runs a blog that just tracks old neon signs in Portland. He started it in 2017 and has posted over 300 photos. There's no real writing, just the cross streets and sometimes the business name if it's still there. He told me he gets maybe 80 visits a month, mostly from other sign nerds or history people. The whole point is the collection itself, not trying to be a big deal. It's the best kind of internet, just one person quietly building a record of something cool.

My uncle does the same thing with old water towers in Nebraska, just photos and coordinates. It's such a pure hobby.
