Swapped my hand crank blower for a propane forge, my arms are confused now

I spent 12 years using this old hand crank blower my grandpa left me, the one that sounds like a dying squirrel. Last month I finally wired up a propane forge in my shed outside Tulsa, and the difference is wild. I keep reaching for the crank when the flame dips, but there's nothing there, just a valve I turn with my thumb. The fire gets hot way faster, but I miss the rhythm of cranking while I shape steel. Anyone else make the jump and find their muscle memory refuses to let go?

Ha, took me two weeks to stop grabbing for a crank that wasn’t there anymore, but now I wouldn’t go back.
