Chose a coal forge over gas for my setup last spring and I'm still fighting with heat control

I figured coal would be more authentic but after 8 months of messing with the fire every session I'm starting to think I made the wrong call, anyone else regret going old school?

Started off the same way, thought coal was the real deal but after a year of fussing with drafts and clinkers I switched to gas and honestly never looked back. The heat control is just way more forgiving, lets me focus on the metal instead of fighting the fire every few minutes.

Man, @grace565 I totally get that now. I used to think gas was cheating but seeing you put it like that makes me want to give it a real shot.
