Just found a bookmark from 2019 for a site that tracks the price of a single can of beans at 40 grocery stores
I was cleaning out my bookmarks bar last week and found this random link I saved back in 2019 when I lived in Tucson. The site is called something like BeanWatch and it literally just logs the price of one specific brand of pinto beans at 40 stores across the country every single day. I remember saving it at like 2am after a dumb argument with my roommate about whether beans were cheaper at Fry's or Walmart, and I never went back to it until now. Turns out it's still running and the price in Phoenix has gone from 79 cents to $1.29 since I bookmarked it. Does anyone else have a bookmark that's this oddly specific and still active after all this time?
