I saved a 2011 page about a calculator cult for 6 months thinking it was a joke, then I read the whole thing
Found this bookmark from a random forum thread back in March, just a plain page about people who worship a specific TI-84 model and post daily offerings, and I kept it around purely because the URL was so dumb. Last week I actually read all 40 pages of it while waiting at the DMV in Reno, and it turns out these folks have real meetups, a newsletter, and one guy who claims the calculator told him to move to Ohio. So now I have to ask, does anyone else have a bookmark they saved as a joke that turned out to have a whole real community behind it?
