A regular at my restaurant told me he rewatches the same 4 season sitcom every year and never gets bored
He said it's the only show he can put on while cooking dinner without missing anything important, and honestly that made me think about how some shows are meant to be background noise. What's your go-to comfort show that you can half watch and still enjoy?
Some shows are written with the background in mind, and you can tell by how the jokes land. The setups get repeated enough that you catch the punchline even if you stepped away to stir the pot. My pick is Cheers because half the scenes are just people talking in a room with no big plot to lose.
