Pulled the wheel on my old Rockhopper after a noise I ignored for months and found the hub was basically dry
Kept telling myself the creak was just the brake pads, but when I finally cracked the cones open in my garage in Boise the grease had gone to wax. 20 minutes with a $7 tub of Park Tool grease and it spins quieter than when I bought it. What's the dumbest noise you've put off checking until it got loud?
