My take on cable housing end caps evolved this weekend.
I skipped them for years, but a frayed cable ended that habit.

That "whole project fail" sounds rough. What actually happened, did something short out or just come loose?

Used to think it was an extra step for no reason. Then had a whole project fail from one loose wire. Been religious about crimping every single connection ever since.
