The drum machine demo that made me question everything

A guy at a swap meet in Portland last fall handed me a cassette labeled 'Techno Dreams 1994' and said 'this is the future, man, you just don't get it yet.' I popped it in my car deck and the snare sound was literally a fart noise sampled over and over for six minutes. The kick drum was off-grid by a full second and the melody sounded like a dying smoke alarm. I couldn't stop laughing, but I also couldn't stop listening, and now I play it for friends who think they've heard bad beats. Has anyone else found a track so broken it somehow becomes genius?
