My junkyard drum machine hit 10,000 plays and I almost fell off my chair

Last Friday I checked the play count on a track I made with a broken Alesis SR-16 I got for $15 at a pawn shop in Reno. It said 10,000. I honestly thought the counter was stuck. This thing has one dead pad and the hi-hat button only works if you hit it at an angle. I recorded a loop where the kick drums fall off beat every fourth bar and people in the comments keep asking what plugin I used for the swing. There is no plugin. The machine is just tired. My buddy Dale keeps calling it the washing machine song because it sounds like a dryer full of spoons. I still do not know why that dumb loop connected with folks. Any of you got a busted piece of gear that somehow outlived all your good stuff?
