Rant: A Tumblr blog I almost quit at part 3 finally paid off at part 47
I started reading this one long fanfic called 'The Long Way Home' about 8 months ago and bailed around chapter 3 because nothing happened. A friend in Austin kept pushing me to try again and I finally did last week after she promised the tension kicks in around chapter 40. By chapter 47 I was up until 3 AM because the slow buildup of the two leads finally clicked and I understood why people call it one of the best slow burns out there. What slow burn did you almost give up on before it grabbed you?
