PSA: Using a timer on each chapter changed my reading experience
I used to binge long stories in one go and miss all the buildup. Setting a 15 minute timer per chapter forced me to pause and actually notice the slow burn details. Has anyone else tried this or do you just read straight through?

Had a buddy who tried this with a thriller series. He set a 10 minute timer per chapter but kept hitting snooze on his phone so he could finish "just one more page." By chapter 3 he gave up and just read the whole book in one night like normal.

His buddy didn't actually try it though, he gave up after 3 chapters. That's like saying a diet doesn't work because you ate a whole pizza on day one. The whole point is you're supposed to have the discipline to actually stop.
