That Wednesday my whole league went into a bidding war over a kicker

So it was week 8 of fantasy football and I was sitting pretty with a 6-1 record. I figured I'd grab a defense on waivers and call it a night. Then I saw a guy drop $47 of his $100 FAAB budget on the Vikings kicker after that 6 field goal game. Three other teams jumped in and the final bid was $62 for a kicker. I just sat there refreshing the page like am I taking this too seriously or not seriously enough. Has anyone else watched their league mates lose their minds over a position that scores 8 points a week?

Wait that Vikings kicker game was only 5 field goals, not 6. I double checked because I had him on my team that week. Still crazy to spend $62 on a kicker though, you gotta wonder what some people are thinking with their FAAB money.

Man I spent $31 on a kicker once and thought I was the problem. I was 2-5 at the time too, so it was more desperation than anything. My league roasted me so bad I had to change my team name to "Kicker Enthusiast" for the rest of the season. $62 is next level though. That person is either a genius who just won the league or theyre about to go on a 7 game losing streak and never live it down. I still check our group chat every Wednesday hoping someone else does something dumber than me so I can finally feel normal again.
