A guy at the Goodwill in Sacramento told me to check the back of every clock, and now I own 6 that still tick
Last Saturday I was digging through the electronics bin at the Goodwill on Folsom Blvd and an older guy next to me said the good stuff is never in the case, it's always hanging on the wall in back. I started flipping over every plug-in clock and found six of them for $3 each that just needed a $2 battery or a wiped clean contact, and all of them still keep time fine. What's the weirdest spot in a thrift store you've learned to check first?
