That barber influencer claiming you need 14 different clippers to do a proper fade is straight up wrong

I heard some kid at the supply shop bragging about his collection of 5 different detachable blades and thought, man, I've been doing solid fades for 18 years with just my old Wahl Senior and three guards, so why are we pushing beginners to spend $400 before they even know how to hold the thing?

Respectfully, I see it a little different. Having more tools can be a crutch, sure, but it can also be a real time saver when you're trying to nail that LEAN fade on coarse hair. A lot of these guys are going for that zero gap, mirror finish look that's super popular online, and it's harder to pull off with just three guards. The real issue isn't the number of clippers, it's that these kids think buying the stuff makes them a barber instead of practicing the fundamentals.

Man you're speaking my language. It's rough seeing kids get suckered into dropping all that cash when they haven't even learned to blend past a #2 guard yet.
