Question about using a new kind of clipper guard for blending

So I had this client come in for a fade, and I was using my usual guards. The blend from a 2 to a 1 just wasn't looking as smooth as I wanted, it felt a bit choppy. I saw a barber friend using a different brand, the 'Wahl Magic Clip' guards, and he let me try his 1.5 guard. I used it on my next few fades, and the difference in just a week was crazy. The transition was way softer and I could do it faster because I wasn't fighting the line as much. It made me think about how a small tool change can really change your whole finish. Has anyone else tried switching up their guard set and seen a big jump in their blend quality?

You said the Wahl Magic Clip, but that's the clipper itself, not a guard brand. The guards are just Wahl guards.

The Wahl guards fit a bunch of their clippers, not just the Magic Clip.
