My old mentor in Fresno told me to stop using clippers on the sides, and it took me 6 months to get why
I was griping to him about a guy who kept coming back unhappy with his fade, and he asked what guard I finished with. I said a 0.5, felt proud of it. He just shook his head and said "run the lever instead, let the blade do the blend." I tried it on my next three walk ins and the lines came out way softer without me fighting the mirror. Now I want to know, do you all run the lever on your final pass or do you still trust the guards?
