I finally noticed the difference a fresh blade makes on a faded fade
Swapped to a new 000 blade halfway through a cut last week and the skin line came out so crisp it looked like I'd drawn it with a ruler, has anyone else had that moment where you realize your blade was dull for way longer than you thought?

Also, 000 is typically a half blade size used more for blending than for a hard line. You might have been fighting the wrong tool the whole time. If you need a ruler crisp line, a fresh 0 or 1 is usually the better bet since they have a wider cutting surface and can cut a more defined perimeter. Not saying a 000 can't do it, but it's going to dig in a lot more and might leave a line that's too sharp for a proper fade. I stick to a 1 for my first guideline and then blend with a 000, makes a world of difference.
