People get weirdly attached to old styles. It's just hair, it grows back. The client probably wanted a fun change and found a picture they liked.

You gotta check if their hair can even DO that style now, like @the_joel said hair grows back but texture changes. Show them a modern version that keeps the vibe but works with their current hair. It saves everyone a lot of trouble.
