Dropped $300 on a new clipper set that was supposed to be a game changer

Saw all the hype online about these cordless magnetic motor clippers. The sales page said they'd cut through thick hair like butter and hold a charge for a full day. After two weeks, the battery dies after maybe four haircuts, and they get hot so fast I have to keep switching them out. I'm back to using my old corded ones most of the time. Has anyone found a cordless set that actually lasts a full, busy Saturday?

Remember buying a fancy blender that promised to crush ice in seconds. It worked great for about a month, then started making this awful burning smell. Turns out the motor couldn't handle more than one frozen smoothie at a time.
