TIL the weird buzz from my guitar amp was a bad ground in the outlet, not the amp
Last month I was jamming in my basement in Dayton and my amp started buzzing so loud I thought a tube blew. I wasted $60 on new tubes before my buddy Dave grabbed a $12 outlet tester and found the ground wire was loose in the wall socket. Swapped the outlet and the buzz vanished completely. Anyone else ever chase the wrong part for a week before checking the obvious?
