My neighbor called out my wire strippers during a fence repair, totally changed my setup

Tbh I was using an old pocket knife to strip speaker wire for years, thought it was fine. Then my neighbor Dave walked over while I was patching a buried cable line near his fence and said, 'you're gonna nick that copper every single time, man.' He handed me his self-adjusting strippers and after three pulls I could see the difference clear as day. Now I keep a pair in my truck and one on my bench, and I haven't mangled a wire end since. Has anyone else had a random stranger or neighbor call out a bad habit that you didn't even notice?
